Most bottles of bubbles come with a small bubble wand. These bubble wands can be flimsy, however, and do not make very large bubbles. You can buy bigger and sturdier wands, but you can also turn old wire clothes hangers into bubble wands. Children can do this project with adult supervision and assistance.
Step 1
Unwind and straighten the wire hanger using a pair of pliers.

Step 2
Curve the bottom half of the hanger into a circle and wrap the bottom end tightly around the middle of the body of the hanger to form a closed loop. Use the pliers to help bend and wrap the wire.
Step 3
Bend the free end of the hanger so that it is at a right angle with the circular end of the hanger. Bend the end of the hanger about 1 inch and wrap it with duct tape to cover the sharp edge.
Step 4
Cut a 20-inch piece of twine and wrap it around the edge of the bubble wand's loop, tying the ends together around the handle of the wand. The twine will help absorb the bubble solution.
