Hand soap is one thing that we all depend upon to help us stay healthy and clean. However, constantly buying refills for soap dispensers can be expensive, not to mention, is not the most environmentally friendly thing to do. It's so easy to make your own foamy hand soap, and it only takes two ingredients: liquid castile soap and water! (Not to mention it smells amazing, too.)

Why Make Your Own Foaming Hand Soap
It's Environmentally Friendly

Tip
Avoid castile soap brands that contain palm oil. Look for castile soap made with other plant oils like coconut, hemp, jojoba, or olive oils.
It's Cheaper in the Long Run
Castile soap is fairly inexpensive and sold at full concentrate. To make your foaming hand soap you only need one tablespoon of the concentrate for a full bottle. A standard eight ounce bottle of castile soap can fill 16 full soap dispensers! Further, you use less soap per pump, meaning your DIY foaming hand soap will last longer between refills. Now that's good on your wallet as well as the environment.
You Know the Ingredients
With store-bought soaps, you don't always know what ingredients make up your hand soap. With this DIY option, you know exactly what you put in the soap - castile soap and water.
It's an Incredibly Easy DIY
It really is the easiest DIY. Even the most anti-DIY-er in your family can easily make this hand soap. Here's how:
Things You'll Need
An empty foaming soap dispenser
Castile soap in any scent or unscented (we like Dr. Bronners)
