Clear waterproof labels
Once you start making your own cards and envelopes, printing invitations and candy bar wrappers, it is only a matter of time before you want to try making clear labels for one of your projects. Sure, you might know how to set them up on your computer, but what to do next is what escapes most people. Follow the instructions given here and use the links to make your own clear waterproof labels.
Step 1
Download the free Avery label software of your choice. You can choose between the software that complements Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Publisher, a stand-alone software or an online application.

Step 2
Buy the waterproof clear labels from one of the companies listed below, or from your local office supply store. New advancements in label-making technology have produced waterproof labels that can be printed on the home ink-jet printer. The material is a vinyl or polyester base with a permanent adhesive on one side and a coating on the other side that encapsulates the ink, making it waterproof after drying.
Step 3
Follow the instructions in the software to input the label size code. This will make sure all your spacing is perfect and the printing is within the margins of the label. Design your labels with whatever text, design and art you like. Save it to a file on your computer so you can access it later if necessary.
Step 4
Insert the blank sheets of clear waterproof labels into the paper drawer of your ink-jet printer, usually face down (Check with your printer's documentation for paper orientation.). Print the clear waterproof labels on your ink-jet printer. Inspect for quality. Your labels are now ready for whatever application you had in mind.
Tip
Your printer does not have white ink, so white areas will be left blank.
