Pasta comes in many shapes and sizes, making it a versatile base for crafts of all kinds. Color pasta pieces yourself and challenge kids to get creative. Try using colored pasta to fill glass jars, glue into collages or string as beads.
Step 1
Pour 4 tbsp. of rubbing alcohol in a small bowl.

Step 2
Add 5 drops of food coloring and stir with a spoon or a craft stick. Mix various base colors to create customized shades if you wish.
Step 3
Place several pieces of pasta in the colored rubbing alcohol. Mix until the pieces are well coated, then let them sit in the color solution for a few minutes to absorb the color.
Step 4
Lift the pasta pieces out of the bowl with a fork or a slotted spoon.
Step 5
Place the wet pasta pieces on paper plates to dry overnight.
