Things You'll Need
1 cup of baking soda
2 tablespoons of Castile soap
a large bowl of water
two clean cloths
Step 1
Make a paste by combining the baking soda and Castile soap.
Step 2
Dab a little of the cleaning paste onto a clean cloth and work it into the silverware. Wipe the paste on with the grain of the silverware, typically in an up and down motion.
Step 3
Rinse each piece of silverware in cold water, making sure to remove all of the cleaning paste.
Step 4
Use a clean, soft cloth to polish each piece of silverware, going with the grain again. Your silverware will look like new and last much longer if you polish it at least once every few months.
