Tip

You can use any type of milk, including plant-based milk. Just be sure it's unsweetened and unflavored.

3. Form the dough

Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Avoid overmixing, as this will make the biscuit dense and heavy. Instead, mix the ingredients until just combined, which will ensure a light and fluffy biscuit.

Tip

Start mixing the ingredients with a fork. Eventually, it will be easier to use your hands.

Tip

It's essential to let the biscuit cool fully. Otherwise, the whipped cream will melt when you construct the strawberry shortcake.

5. Layer the strawberry shortcake

Slice the biscuit in half widthwise.

On the bottom half, add a layer of sliced strawberries. Top with whipped cream.

Tip

Construct the strawberry shortcake right before eating it. Otherwise, the whipped cream will quickly thin, especially if it's a warm day.

Place the top half of the biscuit on the whipped cream. Your strawberry shortcake for one is ready!
