Many people I know grew up eating avocados in a savory dish. However, I grew up eating avocados in desserts, like this Filipino avocado shake.
One way to make it is by completely blending the ingredients to make a silky smooth shake. Another way is to mash the avocados with sweetener and then mix it with crushed ice and milk. This recipe shows you how to make the latter.

Depending on how well you mash the avocado, you may get some chunky bits. But that is honestly my favorite part of avocado shakes! Feel free to use either method, but I definitely recommend trying the mashed method at least once.

Things You'll Need
1/2 avocado, ripe
1–2 tsp. sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, agave, alternative sugar)
1 cup milk of choice (whole, soy, almond)
Crushed ice
1. Dice the avocado
Dice half of a ripe avocado and scoop it into a bowl.
2. Mash the avocado with sweetener
Add a sweetener of your choice. Use a fork to mash the avocado, then transfer it to a serving cup.
3. Add crushed ice
Top the mashed avocado with crushed ice.
4. Top with milk
Pour in the milk, stir with a straw, and enjoy!
