How to Deep Clean Your Showerhead

Your showerhead can become clogged with mildew and lime buildup after time, making the water less clean and the water pressure much lighter. The good news is that it's pretty easy to get your showerhead clean without a lot of fuss. Simply fill a bowl with vinegar and place your showerhead jets in the vinegar for about 15 to 30 minutes. Then, scrub the jets lightly with a scrub brush and let water run through the showerhead to rinse it clean.

Your bathroom faucets need to be cleaned to keep them running properly as well. After time, lime and mildew can keep water from flowing well, and you can start to get bits of mildew and limescale in the water that you are brushing your teeth with.

To get your faucets clean, fill a plastic baggie with vinegar and pull it up over the faucet. Secure the baggie with a binder clip or elastic band and let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes. Remove the baggie and pour the vinegar down the drain, which will help clean that as well. Use a small scrub brush or old toothbrush to give your faucet a scrub and then run warm water for a few minutes to rinse the lines.

How to Deep Clean Your Toilets

Toilets are known as the dirtiest item in the bathroom and typically get a little scrub here and there. They can also get a buildup of lime and scum under the rim, which can cause the water to not rinse the bowl as well during flushing.

To get your toilets really clean, spray the entire bowl and inner rim with soap scum cleaner and let it sit for 10 minutes. The vinegar and soap mixture will loosen any lime and scum that has built up. Use a toilet brush to scrub and flush to rinse. Make sure to rinse your toilet brush with hot water as well.
