Things You'll Need
White vinegar
Essential oils (lavender, tea tree oil, lemon, orange, eucalyptus or oregano)
Spray bottle
As you use a shower and bathtub daily, grime and hard water deposits may accumulate on the fixtures and surfaces. Many manufacturers make daily shower cleaners designed to spray on shower surfaces every day to reduce the surface germs and build-up. Instead of using expensive cleaners that may contain harmful chemicals, make a homemade shower cleaner with vinegar and essential oil. Vinegar contains acidic properties that power through grime and build-up, and essential oil can add enjoyable scents and cleaning power to the solution.
Step 1
Measure and pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the spray bottle. Add 2 cups of water to the spray bottle.

Step 2
Add between 20 and 30 drops of essential oil to the spray bottle. Lavender, tea tree oil, lemon, orange, eucalyptus and oregano essential oils all have antiseptic and antibacterial properties that will enhance the shower cleaner and add powerful scents. Use only one essential oil or combine them to create a shower cleaner with a scent combination you enjoy.
Step 3
Close the spray bottle and shake the contents vigorously.
Step 4
Keep the shower cleaner in the bathroom and apply it liberally after each shower use.
Tip
Suggestions for essential oil combinations include lavender and tea tree oil, lavender and eucalyptus, lemon and oregano and tea tree oil and lemon. Experiment with combinations of oils before adding them to the white vinegar by placing a drop of each oil together on your finger.
