Tip
Be sure to fold your fitted sheets as soon as you remove them from the dryer, as it results in crisper fold lines.
1. Lay the sheet flat
Turn the sheet inside out and lay it flat on a table so that the long side is in front of you.
2. Place hands in corners
Slide your left hand into the left corner and your right hand into the right corner.
3. "Clap" your hands
Bring your palms together like you're clapping.
4. Overlap the corners
Fold the right corner over the left corner.
5. Turn the sheet right side out
Switch hands so that your right hand is now inside holding the two corners and your left hand is free. Slide your left hand down the side of the sheet and turn the rest of the sheet right side out.
6. Grab the remaining corners
Slide your left hand into the adjacent corner, making sure you grab both remaining corners. At this point, you should be holding two corners with your right hand and two corners with your left hand.
7. "Clap" hands again
Bring your palms together like you're clapping again.
8. Fold corners over each other
Fold the right corner over the left corner again.
9. Straighten the sheet
Switch hands again so that your right hand is inside holding the four corners and use your left hand to straighten out the rest of the sheet.
10. Lay the sheet flat in a rectangle shape
Lay the sheet flat on a table and smooth out any wrinkles. Be sure to slightly adjust the shape of the sheet so that it resembles the shape of a rectangle.
11. Fold the sheet in thirds
Fold the sheet in thirds lengthwise.
12. Make the final fold
Fold the sheet in thirds again.
Behold! A perfectly folded fitted sheet with clean lines and square corners!
