Latch hook is a fun and rewarding craft that is fun for a wide variety of people who create both functional and artistic projects. Wall hangings, rugs and pillows are just a few of the types of items that can be made with the latch hook process. One way you can turn a small latch hook project into a useful household decorative item is to make it into a pillow.
Latch Hook Pillow
Step 1
Trim any raw edges on your latch-hook to 1/2 inch of the yarn.

Step 2
Cut a piece of fabric to the size of your latch hook, including the 1/2-inch edge.
Step 3
Place the fabric right-side down on top of the yarn. Pin in place.
Step 4
Sew along 3 sides with a 1/2-inch seam allowance, keeping your stitch line right where the yarn begins.
Step 5
Turn the pillow right-side out and pull free any yarn caught in your seam.
Step 6
Stuff the pillow to desired plumpness.
Step 7
Fold both edges of the last side in by 1/2 inch. Sew in place.
Tip
The sewing can be done by machine or by hand, but some sewing machines will have a difficult time with the heavy fabric and the rug backing.
Warning
Always check your seam to make sure the yarn is not caught in the stitches. If a strand does get caught, it can usually be pulled free afterward.
