A swamp cooler is an inexpensive way to cool your house during the hot summer months. Occasionally your swamp cooler will need maintenance. Remove the old swamp cooler pads by unscrewing the mesh screen that holds them in place. Retain the screws. Remove the screen and simply pull the pads out.

Install the new pads by placing them in the swamp cooler where the old pads were, and placing the mesh screen on top to hold them in place. Screw the mesh screen in securely.
