Most home-repair professionals advise homeowners to replace cracked tiles. But not everyone has extra tiles sitting around. And even if they do, most people don't have the time or expertise to remove the old tile and glue and grout a new one. Before you throw up your hands in frustration, try a quick and simple method for repairing cracked tiles. It's a 15-minute job that will make your tile look like new.
Step 1
Mix some epoxy glue by combining equal amounts of hardener and resin. Fill the crack with glue.

Step 2
Smooth the cracked area with a toothpick so the epoxy completely fills the crack. Wipe up any overflow with a damp rag. Let it dry.
Step 3
Paint over the epoxy with an oil-based paint, using a fine artist's brush. Match the paint to the tile color. Allow the paint to dry.
Step 4
Apply a coat of clear urethane to the cracked area. Let it dry.
Tip
Wear rubber gloves when working with epoxy glue.
