Pour 1/2 water into a large mixing bowl.

Add 1/4 orange juice, 1/4 cup lemon juice, and 1/4 cup olive oil to the mixing bowl.

Pour 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce, 2 tbsp. soy sauce, and 2 tbsp. sugar to the mixing bowl.
Step 4
Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl. Blend the ingredients together using a mixing spoon.
Step 5
Pour the marinade mixture into a gallon-size freezer bag.
Step 6
Place the tri tip meat into the freezer bag and seal the bag. Refrigerate overnight.
Tip
The amount of salt used in this recipe can be doubled to increase the tenderness of the meat.

Be sure to discard the marinade before cooking the tri tip. Do not cook the meat in the marinade
