Tyvek, a registered trademark of DuPont, is a plasticlike synthetic material used in residential and commercial structures, office supplies and in craft projects. The material is water- and air-resistant, durable and easily cut with a utility knife. In building structures, the material is used to cover sheathing and insulation. In craft projects, Tyvek is used in bookbinding, display boards and for envelopes and pouches. When gluing Tyvek, use an adhesive that dries quickly and won't run.
Large-Scale Projects
Step 1
Wipe the pieces of Tyvek with a soft cloth or rag to remove any loose dust and dirt.
