Poster paint is a water-based paint that is used in many kids' crafts. Poster paint comes in several different sized bottles and colors. You can even combine two or more colors in order to make new colors or various shades of original colors by adding black or white. Any kind of paint brush can be used with these paints. When this kind of paint gets on your carpet, do not fret! It is simple and relatively quick to get out.
Step 1
Pour warm water on the paint and blot up as much of the paint as you can. Use old washcloths or towels to soak up the paint. These steps can be performed whether the paint is wet or dry.

Step 2
Spray some stain remover onto the carpet. Allow the solution to sit for at least 10 minutes.
Step 3
Scrub the paint with an old toothbrush. Use the old cloths to soak up any paint.
Step 4
Run the plastic comb underneath the paint and pull up. It should be a fine toothed comb so that it gets more paint off.
Step 5
Spray some rubbing alcohol on the paint stain if the stain remover did not work. Use a light coverage and then cover the spot with plastic wrap. Wait for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Dab up as much paint as possible, and finish it off with a toothbrush scrub and warm water.
