Tiles are a popular choice for bathrooms as well as other areas of your home. Daily use of bathrooms will result in a build-up of dirt, mold, soap scum and mildew. Fortunately, bathroom tiles feature a smooth, non-porous surface designed to withstand the common bathroom problems and allow for an easy clean-up. With the correct tools and a little elbow grease, you can restore the shine of your bathroom tiles.
Step 1
Sweep the bathroom tiles with a broom and dust pan to remove the surface dirt.

Step 2
Pour equal parts bleach and warm water into a clean spray bottle. Spray the grout—the lines separating the tiles—with the bleach-water mixture and scrub with an old toothbrush. This will clean and whiten the grout. Wipe the tile with a damp cloth to remove the bleach residue.
Step 3
Create a paste with 1 cup distilled white vinegar, 1 cup salt and 1 cup baking soda. Apply the paste to any stuck-on dirt or grime on the bathroom tiles. Scrub the area with a sponge. Use a cotton swab to get into cracks and corners. Wipe the paste away with a damp cloth.
Step 4
Create a solution of equal parts distilled white vinegar and water. Saturate a sponge in the mixture and wring out the excess liquid. Scrub the bathroom tiles with the sponge. Start at the end of the floor farthest from the door and work towards the exit. Allow the tiles to air dry.
Step 5
Fill a small container with lemon juice. Saturate a clean sponge in the lemon juice and wipe down the bathroom tiles. This will make the tiles shine and fill your bathroom with a fresh, citrus aroma.
