A manufacturer of furniture including chairs and other furnishings, Dutailier's products are durable and available from a number of furniture stores as well as online. Dutailier chairs, ottomans and other furnishings include cushions that are not only washable, but are also treated with a resistant coating that protects them against fading. Spills, stains and other dirt can be cleaned without having to remove the cushion's cover, and there's no need to wash the fabric in a washer or by hand in a sink.

Step 2
Vacuum the cushions with your vacuum cleaner's upholstery attachment to remove any loose dust and dirt.
Step 3
Vacuum the entire surface of your piece of furniture. Place the cushions back on the piece of furniture.
Removing Stains
Step 1
Apply a spray of foam upholstery cleaner to a soft cloth or rag. Wear latex gloves to keep your hands dry.
Step 2
Blot the dirty area from the middle of the stain outward with the cleaner-soaked cloth or rag. Reapply upholstery cleaner, if needed, and continue blotting the stain until it is gone.
Step 3
Fill a pot with 2 cups of warm water. Dip a clean, soft cloth or rag in the pot. Wring out excess water.
Step 4
Blot the clean area with the damp cloth to remove any excess foam from the cushion.
Step 5
Dry the area with a hair dryer from the outside of the wet spot to the inside.
Tip
If your piece of Dutailier furniture contains velvet fabric, use a foam upholstery cleaner recommended for velvet and use a soft-bristle brush to improve the look of the velvet.
Warning
Do not use bleach or a bleach-related solution to clean your Dutailier furniture and cushions--bleach will damage the furniture's fabric.
