Things You'll Need

  • Toothpicks (optional)

  • Soft, lint-free microfiber cloth

The KitchenAid brand KPRA Pasta Roller is part of the Model KPRA 3-Piece Pasta Roller and Cutter Set that also includes a spaghetti/linguine cutter and fettuccine cutter. The adjustable Pasta Roller allows users to knead dough into 6-inch wide sheets in as many as nine thicknesses. As the KPRA Pasta Roller is designed from chrome-plated steel, cleaning the attachment requires little effort. You only need to remove dry flour and dough from the metal surfaces after you have finished kneading dough for your cooking or baking project.

Step 1

Turn off your KitchenAid stand mixer. Reverse turn the attachment knob thumbscrew to loosen the KPRA Pasta Roller from the appliance. Pull the Pasta Roller from the mixer, set it aside and wait one hour.

Step 2

Brush the Pasta Roller with the cleaning brush that came with your Pasta Roller and Cutter set to remove flour and dough from all surfaces. If any dough has become wedged in the roller, hold the Pasta Roller over a trashcan and tap it with your hands to dislodge the dough. If tapping doesn't work, pry the dough from the roller gently with a toothpick.

Step 3

Rub the entire Pasta Roller with a soft, dry, lint-free microfiber cloth until the chrome-plated surfaces shine. When finished, store your Pasta Roller with your other KitchenAid attachments.

Warning

Never clean your KitchenAid KPRA Pasta Roller with water, detergents or chemicals. Never clean the roller in a dishwasher.

Use of abrasive tools or sharp objects to remove dough from the roller can scratch it.

Never attempt to run your cleaning cloth through the rollers to clean the attachment.
