Things You'll Need
Tables
Green felt
Cards and dice
String lights
Boxes
Black and white paint
Inflatable palm trees
If you and your friends can't take a trip to Las Vegas, throw a Vegas-style party at home for a fraction of the cost. Recreate the excitement of Sin City by using lights, colorful fabrics and shiny decor. Set up a buffet-style dinner, similar to those found in Las Vegas. You can also choose a Las Vegas hotel and casino theme for your home, such as Caesars Palace or the Bellagio.
Step 1
Make "poker tables" by lining card tables with green felt. Supply each table with a deck of cards, dice and poker chips. Sprinkle the tabletop with glitter to add to the over-the-top Las Vegas feel.

Step 2
Decorate using string lights and inflatable plastic palm trees. Blow up the trees and set them out in various locations throughout the party space. You can also hang white or brightly colored string lights from doorways and around railings. Hang lit-up signs on the walls. The brighter the party space, the more authentic it will feel.
Step 3
Collect various sizes of boxes and paint them white with black dots to make "dice." Set them up around the party space, and if the boxes are very sturdy, guests can use them as tables to set drinks and food on.
Step 4
Serve dinner buffet-style, just as it is done in many Las Vegas hotels and casinos. Set up a long table with a wide range of foods, including shrimp cocktail, entrees and plenty of finger foods. Set up a temporary bar so that you can mix up drinks for guests.
Step 5
Choose a famous Las Vegas hotel and casino and decorate the party space accordingly. Decorate with Egyptian decor for a Luxor-inspired party, or use Italian decor for a Bellagio-inspired soiree. If you go for the Bellagio theme, serve Italian foods and play Frank Sinatra music.
