Goat's milk is high in vitamins, minerals and proteins that nourishes your skin, along with caprylic acid for exfoliating dead skin cells and maintaining the optimal pH level for skin health. As a natural source of alpha-hydroxy acid, goat milk makes the perfect addition to your homemade body lotion. To keep homemade body lotion fresh, store it in the refrigerator.

Make Lotion With Aloe
For this version of goat's milk lotion, you need the following ingredients:
- 1/8 teaspoon boric acid
- 1/4 cup cold goat's milk
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 1/2 cup aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon Vitamin E oil
Begin by heating the boric acid and milk to boiling, either in a saucepan or in the microwave. Melt the coconut oil and beeswax together in the microwave until the oil is hot. Remove the dish and stir until the wax finishes melting. Add the oil and wax to the milk mixture and blend it well with the immersion blender. Add the Vitamin E oil and allow the lotion to cool to room temperature. Stir in the aloe gel and any fragrance oil you desire and blend the lotion again with the stick blender. Bottle your lotion or spoon it into jars.
Create a Cocoa Butter Lotion
You will need:
- 2 ounces beeswax
- 1/2 ounces cocoa butter
- 1 1/2 ounces palm kernel oil
- 8 ounces coconut oil
- 8 tablespoons almond oil
- 1 cup goat's milk
- 1 1/2 cup distilled water
- 1 tablespoon soap-making preservative
Melt the wax and oils together. Mix the milk and water, then add it to the oils with the preservative. Use the immersion blender to blend the ingredients into a smooth lotion. Pour or ladle the lotion into bottles or jars.
Mix It Up With Avocado Oil
Weigh these ingredients on your digital scale:
- 1.7 ounces sweet almond oil
- 1 ounce avocado oil
- 0.2 ounce soap-making preservative
- 1.2 ounces emulsifying wax
- 1 ounce stearic acid
- 1.2 ounces shea butter
- 9 ounces distilled water
- 9 ounces pasteurized goat's milk
- 0,1 ounces fragrance oil, if desired
First, mix the almond and avocado oils. Dissolve the stearic acid in the oils. Add the wax and microwave the mixture until the wax and stearic acid melt. Stir in the shea butter until it melts.
Next, add the water to the milk and microwave them for 1 minute. Slowly add the oils to the milk, stirring it well. Pour it into your blender and pulse it until it gets thick. Stir it to remove any bubbles and then stir the preservative into the lotion very thoroughly before adding the fragrance. Pour the lotion into your bottles or other containers.
