Using red tiles is a fresh, funky and unique way to decorate your home. Red tiles come in a variety of sizes and materials such as ceramic and vinyl. No matter what type of red tile you have, in time, the tile will become dirty and require a thorough cleaning. A dull and dingy red tile floor can make the entire room look neglected. Fortunately, you can clean and shine your red tiles with a few common household items.
Step 1
Sweep the red tiles with a broom to remove dust and dirt. Sweep the debris into a dustpan.

Step 2
Fill a spray bottle with equal parts water and household bleach. Spray the grout -- the lines between the red tiles -- with the mixture.
Step 3
Scrub the grout with the mixture and toothbrush. The bleach-water solution will remove stains, mold and mildew, and brighten the grout.
Step 4
Wipe off the mixture with a damp cloth.
Step 5
Fill a bucket with equal parts water and white vinegar. Saturate a sponge mop with the mixture. Hold the sponge mop over the bucket, and wring out the excess liquid.
Step 6
Scrub the red tiles with the saturated mop. Begin at the area of the floor that is farthest from the entrance. Scrub in a back-and-forth motion while working toward the entrance.
Step 7
Allow the vinegar-water mixture to air-dry on the red tiles. Point fans in the direction of the tiles to speed up the drying process.
Tip
Wear rubber gloves when working with bleach to prevent skin irritation.
Warning
Never mix bleach with ammonia or products containing ammonia. The resulting fumes are toxic.
