1. Criss-cross the rope
Your DIY spider webs can be made as small or large as you want. An easy way to make a smaller version is to use poster board as a frame. Cut two pieces of rope about twice the size of the poster board. Criss-cross the rope pieces with a knot in the center and secure it to each side with tape.

2. Tie a knot
Start the web by tying a knot a few inches up from the center.

3. Create a diamond
Working clockwise, create a diamond shape by tying a knot on each of the crossed pieces. Cut the rope when you finish each shape and start the next one with a new piece.

5. Add support ropes
Add four long support ropes by tying a knot to the center and then to each section, moving diagonally. Tape each end to the edge of the poster board.

You can also display a large web outdoors. Tie it directly to a fence, to a wall, or between trees.
Tip
You can also use lawn stakes to secure an extra-large spider web to the ground.
