Scabies, a type of mite, are a concern if they're found in your garden. Not only can they harm your plants, they can also bite you and cause severe skin irritation. Scabies can spread quickly, so it's important to kill these mites as soon as possible. Fortunately, getting rid of these tiny pests in your yard only requires a simple hot sauce mixture. Combine the mixture with regular yard maintenance and your home should be scabies-free.
Killer Hot Sauce
Step 1
Mix several drops of hot sauce in 8 ounces of water. Alternatively, chop up a Jalapeno pepper and place the pieces in the water.

Step 2
Pour the water-spice mixture into a spray bottle.
Step 3
Apply the water-spice mixture to all the plants in your yard affected by the scabies. Try to apply the mixture directly to any scabies that you're able to find in the yard. Not only will the mixture kill these insects, it will also prevent them from coming back.
General Scabies Prevention
Step 1
Pull all weeds in your backyard. Scabies often live in weeds. Leaves and other debris should also be removed, for the same reason.
Step 2
Remove sick plants from your yard. Sick and diseased plants are another favorite habitation for scabies.
Step 3
Water your plants early in the morning, so your plants have enough time to dry during the day. Watering at night may cause water to remain on the plants until the following day. The stagnant water serves as a water source for the scabies and also promotes the growth of mold. Mold can weaken plants and make them susceptible to a scabies infestation.
