A weed eater is a modern convenience that makes lawn care much easier. The weed eater has a small motor that turns a hub. The hub has a supply of nylon line that spins at high speeds and cuts weed and small plants. When more line is needed, you gently tap the weed eater head on the ground and the bump knob releases more line. When the supply of line runs out, the bump knob must be loosened to install a new spool of line.
