Things You'll Need
Four sheet straps
Fitted sheet (sized to fit over both your mattress and feather bed)
We hear it over and over again: One of the best things we can do for our health is to get a good night's sleep. Today's mattresses are more comfortable than ever, but they're also more expensive than ever. An ultra-comfortable alternative that's easy on your wallet is a feather bed. The lightweight mattress topper can help regulate your body temperature and allow you to sleep comfortably. If it's not secured to the mattress, though, it easily can slide off as you move around throughout the night. To learn an easy fix for that, read on.
Step 1
Remove all sheets from your bed.

Step 2
Place the feather bed on top of your mattress, ensuring that it's evenly distributed and centered.
Step 3
Clip one end of a sheet strap to one corner of the feather bed, then clip the other end of the sheet strap to the corner of the mattress. Continue by clipping the other three sheet straps to both the feather bed and the mattress.
Step 4
Pull the final sheet strap as tightly as possible when clipping it to the mattress, to keep the feather bed securely in place.
Step 5
Cover the feather bed with a fitted sheet, making sure that the corners of the sheet fit snugly in place around both the feather bed and the mattress.
Step 6
Make your bed as usual.
Tip
It may help to have someone hold the feather bed in place while you clip on the sheet straps.
Warning
Standard-size fitted sheets may not fit over both your mattress and a loftier feather bed. If you have a lofty feather bed, you may need to go up a size or invest in deep-pocket fitted sheets.
