Kilz manufactures a variety of painting related products, but Kilz Original and Kilz Premium are the primary offerings on the company's product line. Kilz Original is an oil-based primer, and Kilz Premium is a water-based primer. One effective way to ensure easy cleanup of the product is to take care during application, wearing gloves if possible to protect your hands from contact. If you do manage to get Kilz primer on your hands, the removal method is dependent upon whether you used the oil- or water-based version.

Step 2
Rub the cloth on the primer-stained part of your hands. Only use as much mineral spirits as necessary for removal, as the substance causes skin irritation.
Step 3
Wash your hands and any other skin that came in contact with mineral spirits immediately, using non-abrasive soap. Rinse with clean water.
Step 4
Dry your hands and apply an emolient lotion.
Kilz Premium (Water-based)
Step 1
Wet your hands in warm water.
Step 2
Apply soap to your hands, and scrub them thoroughly.
Step 3
Rinse the soap away, and then dry your hands.
