Things You'll Need
4 canvas squares
Drill
12 screws
If you're working on an art project and you need a large canvas surface to work with, consider making one large canvas piece out of four smaller canvases. Most canvas pieces bought at craft and art stores are stretched over wooden frames, which are ideal for attaching to one another. You can use an electric drill and screws to connect the four canvases, making one large square panel you can customize into a modern painting.
Step 1
Lay two square canvases of the same shape side by side so two of the edges are touching. Flip each canvas upside down so you can see the inner edges the canvases' frames make.

Step 2
Drill three screws along the inner edge where the canvases touch, making the screws evenly spaced. You should have two canvas frames attached to one another.
Step 3
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 with two new square canvases so that you have two separate pieces made of two canvases screwed together.
Step 4
Lay the two, two-canvas pieces side by side, the edges touching, Drill the two pieces together using six screws, all evenly spaced. You should have one large, square-shaped canvas panel made up of four smaller canvas frames.
Step 5
Paint the canvas panel any style you like to create an art form all your own.
