In 2010, Honda was not making riding lawn mowers. But the internal-combustion conglomerate used to make them. Honda riding mower models belonged to any of six categories: HA, H, HH, HDA, GDA, and SDA. Each category and mower within each category offers something slightly different. Because Honda riding mowers were quite popular, you should be able to find a used model online or near your hometown if you're trying to find one. Consider approaching mower repair shops to inquire whether they have Honda riding mowers for sale or know of someone who does.

Video of the Day
Honda produced six riding mowers under its H category. The H1011 and H3011 both cut grass heights between 1 and 3.5 inches, but the H1011 has only an 11-horsepower engine while the H3011 has a 15-horsepower engine. The H4013 is more powerful than both and can cut grass heights up to 4 inches. The H5013 and H5518 models are larger than the H1000 and H3000 models. Both have eight driving speeds to make cutting faster. The H6522 is the largest of the H models; it has nine speeds and a roll bar for safety. It cuts grass to a height of up to 5 inches.

HH Models
The four HH-class riding mowers Honda produced were the H3011H, the H3013H, the H4514H, and the H4518H. Though the H3011H looks the same as the H3011 and cuts at the same length, the H3011H only has only three gears: transport, mowing and reverse. Unlike the H3011H mower, the H3013H doesn't come with a grass bag, but it does come with a slightly more powerful engine. The H4514H and H4518H mowers have three gears and can cut grasses up to 4 inches, but the H4518H has a GX640 engine, larger than the H4514H's GX360.
HA Models
There are two HA riding mowers from Honda: the HA4118H38A and the HA4120H48A. They look similar and have the same dimensions, but the HA4120H48A has a 20-horsepower engine while the HA4118H38A has an engine that runs at 18 horsepower. Both models travel at the same speeds, however, and both can cut grasses up to 4 inches high.
SDA Model
The H2013SDA riding mower comes with a 13 horsepower engine that can go up to 4.5 mph. The mower has a dual blade that can cut grass between 1 inch and 4 inches. If you are interested in getting more than just mowing from a mower, this one has an available mulching kit, a trailer hitch and a snow blower.
HDA Models
The two HDA Honda riding mowers, the H2013HDA and the H2113HDA, have the same engine -- a GXV390 -- and both have hydrostatic transmission, but the H2113HDA is slightly longer and heavier than the H2013HDA. Both have five gears and can reach a top speed of 4.5 miles per hour. Like the SDA model, you can get a mulching kit, a trailer hitch or a snow blower for both of these models.
GDA Model
The Honda H2113GDA riding mower is the same size as the H2113HDA, but the H2113GDA is lighter, at 340 pounds, as opposed to the H2113HDA's 375 pounds. The H2113GDA has a five-gear transmission and can reach speeds of 4.5 miles per hour in fifth gear. Like many of the other Honda models, this mower can cut grasses up to 4 inches in height.
