Things You'll Need
Four different leaf shapes about 10-in. tall (hand drawn or dowloaded free clip art)
Five different colors of felt (1/2-yard or 8 pieces of each color)
Straight pins
Sharp scissors
Hot glue gun
1. Cut out leaf templates
Draw different leaf shapes on paper and cut them out for a pattern. If you don't want to draw the leaves, download free online clip art leaves.
2. Pin the pattern to felt
Place two layers of felt together in the same color, and then pin the leaf pattern to the felt.
Cut around the pattern, removing the extra felt.
3. Sew the pieces of felt together
Remove the pins and the pattern from the felt. Sew through both layers of felt all around the outer edge. Create leaf veins by sewing down the center and in from the sides.
Continue to create as many leaves as you'd like for your table runner in various shapes and colors.
4. Glue the leaves together
Place the leaves in a line, alternating each leaf's direction. Hot glue them together.
Let the holiday season begin!
