Plastic face shields protect your face from flying objects. They come in different thicknesses, and are either clear or tinted. Because they are made of plastic, face shields can easily become scratched. The scratches distort your vision and make the shields dangerous to wear. You can easily restore the surface, though, so you can see clearly, and make it look like new again. Read on to find out how to remove scratches from a plastic face shield.

Step 2

Squeeze a liberal amount of toothpaste onto the face shield. Rub it all over with your fingers in circular motions. Let the toothpaste set for five minutes to remove scratches. Then, wipe it off under running tap water. Wipe the plastic face shield dry with a tee shirt.

Step 3

Apply some Brasso onto the plastic face shield. Moisten a paper towel and polish the plastic to remove the scratches. Polish the plastic for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse the Brasso off under tap water. Use a polishing cloth to dry the face shield.

Step 4

Use Plexus Plastic Cleaner & Polish to remove scratches. Simply spray the product on the plastic face shield. Wipe it off with a soft cloth to remove scratches.

Warning

Use Brasso and all chemical products in a well ventilated area.
