Swimming pools offer relaxation and an escape from the heat of summer. Some swimming pools are constructed with a deck to provide easy access to the pool. A deck also adds decoration to the pool. But due to the nature of decks, standard a-frame ladders simply do not work in providing swimmers a means of entering the pool. A deck pool ladder is used in place of the a-frame ladder. Deck pool ladders attach directly to the pool deck via bolting into anchor holes.
Step 1
Wipe the arms and legs of the pool ladder with a wet washcloth. Clean away any debris on the ladder to ensure no complications during installation. Spray the anchor holes in the deck with water to flush away debris int he hole.

Step 2
Slide the ladder arms (the short portion of the ladder after the curve) into the anchor holes. Push the ladder arms firmly into the anchor holes until there is little give to the ladder.
Step 3
Secure the ladder by fastening the anchor bolts into the small holes around the anchor hole. Tighten the bolts until the ladder is firmly anchored in place.
Tip
Spray the anchor bolts with an oil-based lubricant if they are difficult to tighten.
