Tip

For a different flavor profile, replace the vanilla wafers with graham crackers. You'll need about two sheets.

1. Crush the vanilla wafers

Break up the vanilla wafers and add them to a spice grinder. Blitz into crumbs; they can be as fine or chunky as you'd like.

Tip

If you don't have a spice grinder, add the wafers to a resealable plastic sandwich bag and roll with a rolling pin. Another option is to use a mortar and pestle.

2. Make the crust

Combine the vanilla wafer crumbs and melted butter. Mix until all of the crumbs are moistened.

Press it into an oven-safe ramekin or mini baking dish. You can do this with the bottom of a glass.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let the dish cool completely.

Tip

For a no-bake version, skip the oven and continue to the next step. This is ideal if you want to save time or if it's too hot to turn on the oven.

3. Add the bananas and pudding

Once the crust has cooled, add a layer of banana slices.
