Use butcher paper to create simple jungle vines for your party.

Filled with bright, colorful plants, tall trees and exotic animals, the jungle has fascinated both adults and children for centuries. Draw inspiration from the jungle to create one-of-a-kind parties for your friends and family. Whether it's for a child's birthday party or an extravagant adults-only soiree, the decorations don't need to cost a fortune. Step 2

Cut each piece into 6-inch strips.

Step 3

Twist each strip of paper until it is tightly wound. Staple the ends of the paper together until you reach the desired length.

Step 4

Measure and cut a piece of dark green or brown streamer so that it is as long as the twisted butcher paper.

Step 5

Twist the streamer until it forms a long, thin rope. Use your hands to crumple the streamer so that it doesn't untwist or apply glue stick to the edges of the streamer for extra hold.

Step 6

Staple one end of the streamer to one end of the twisted paper. Wrap the streamer around the butcher paper. Vary the tightness of the wrap, allowing the streamer loops to drape off of the butcher paper for a more realistic effect.

Step 7

Staple the end of the streamer to the twisted paper when you reach the end.

Tip

Drape the paper vines from the ceiling, along the walls and over furniture. Use masking tape to secure the vines to the wall.

Attach paper leaves, plastic snakes and frogs, and fake birds to the vines for a more realistic effect.
